He’s somehow managed to mix both the regular and absurd, beautiful and disturbing and put them into images that you find you could get lost in for hours. His tools of the trade include scissors, glue and vintage magazines/books. More of his work can be seen at www.collageartbyjesse.tumblr.com and www.flickr.com/photos/collageartbyjesse/ and select prints are available from www.society6.com/studio/jessetreece/store. Wallingford Dental Arts – Artist: Kristin Frost; Website: www.kristinjfrost.com As a contemporary landscape painter, I attempt to capture the emotions of elements in the natural world. My paintings focus on the expressive qualities of sky, water, and earth, as well as man made alterations of the landscape. I begin many of my paintings by observing nature, and then develop them in studio where my own ideas and experience are incorporated. While working on extended paintings, I have found that continual on-site observation at different times of day and in varying weather conditions is vital to the freshness of each painting. These spontaneous reactions add new emotion to my work and help to cultivate their originality.
